Turner Cares
Turner Cares is our commitment to giving back through hands-on service. Our long-term vision is to partner with local nonprofits and community organizations throughout the Lake Norman area, donating our time, skills, and resources to projects that make a meaningful difference. Whether it's renovating a space, painting a community center, building something that's needed, or tackling repairs, we want to use what we do best to serve others.
Giving back has always been part of who we are. Over the years, our team has participated in service projects that have allowed us to put our craftsmanship to work for causes bigger than ourselves.
As Turner Cares grows, we'll share stories from our projects, highlight the incredible organizations we work alongside, and invite our clients, trade partners, and community to join us in making a lasting impact.
Serving in Ecuador
In partnership with a local church, Turner Design Build Owner Shawn Turner and son/team member Layton traveled to Ecuador to serve alongside One Heart Global Ministries. Working in rural villages, they met construction needs while building relationships with local families and supporting the organization's mission of sharing the Gospel and strengthening communities. One Heart partners with local pastors to plant churches, equip leaders, and support community projects throughout the region.
The experience was a reminder that construction can be a powerful way to serve others. Whether building homes, churches, or community spaces, every project creates opportunities to encourage, connect, and make a lasting impact.

Rebuilding Western North Carolina
When Hurricane Helene devastated communities across Western North Carolina, we knew we wanted to do more than simply watch from afar. Our team partnered with Baptist On Mission to help families begin rebuilding what had been lost.
Before heading west, we hosted a community clothing and supply drive at our office, collecting essential items to support those affected by the storm. Then, our team volunteered on-site, working alongside Baptist On Mission to help rebuild damaged homes and serve homeowners during a difficult season.
At Turner Design + Build, we believe building goes beyond homes. It's about caring for people, strengthening communities, and using our skills to make a meaningful difference wherever we're needed. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our neighbors across North Carolina and look forward to continuing that commitment through Turner Cares.
