We hired Turner Design Build for a partial remodel on our master bath. We could not be more pleased with their work! They communicated better than any trade or service we have ever worked with - told us what was going to happen, when it would happen, and what the workaround would be if it couldn’t happen in the original way planned. We feel the contractors they picked were all focused on our plan, and treated our home and bathroom like they would their own.

Turner Design Build (TDB) may not be the cheapest, but we felt fully secure in their project management throughout our remodel, and feel their work was really perfect. We would choose TDB for any and every remodel or build project we might have, and gladly pay the little bit extra for their customer care!

We used Turner for a big remodel project — kitchen, primary bath, first-floor flooring, powder room, paint, and a second-floor shower. Before deciding, we talked with several different contractors, but we went with Turner because they offered a good mix of price, design help, and engagement throughout the process.

From the start, the contract and design phase were really well organized. We got digital renderings, detailed proposals, and plenty of time to talk through our choices. Hailey and our superintendents were great to work with — they helped us stay within budget and still get the look and quality we wanted.

Living in the house during construction (with kids and dogs!) was definitely not easy, but the Turner team went out of their way to make it manageable. What stood out the most was their communication — they kept us informed, worked around our schedule when they could, and were always respectful of the fact that we were living through the project.

Like any big remodel, there were a few bumps along the way, but Turner handled things the right way. They were proactive, fair, and genuinely wanted to find solutions that worked for everyone. That kind of attitude made a huge difference for us.

They also use an app that gives daily updates and photos, which was really helpful to keep track of what was happening and make sure nothing got lost in the shuffle.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Turner. They’re professional but also personal — a good balance of craftsmanship, modern communication, and customer care. We’re really happy with how everything turned out, and our home feels new!

We bought a 50 yr old home in Davidson that needed some work. Being new to NC, it took a few attempts to find a reliable contractor. I saw their sign in our community and sent an email. Lindsey responded the next day and we set a phone meeting. We talked for nearly an hour, she was very thorough and detailed to help meet our needs. She and her team came to our house and spent a long time walking both in & outside the house to understand our needs. We identified a few projects and started with the ‘drum room’. We needed a room with sound restricting materials.

The team did a great job of designing the space for multi-use and started within weeks. Turner D&B were very timely and we always knew where we were in the process. Matt was our manager, a super nice young man, kept us informed with daily updates, including photos. We had planned time away and felt very confident & comfortable with their team in our home. They did a great job and we will use them for upcoming projects. We highly recommend Turner Design & Build!

I hate HGTV. I do not spend time looking at design catalogs. But we had an atrociously ugly, unsanitary bathroom for close to 23 years and our fear of the contracting experience held us back. Then, we found Turner Design Build and not only renovated that ugly bathroom but built an additional one as well! So after two projects, we still love TBD: Hailey, whose designs matched our needs and the rest of our house; Claire and Kieron, who cheerfully oversaw the construction; Shawn and Lindsay, who worked with us on the budget and the plans. TBD excels at communicating with you and problem-solving. We have an older home (100 years), so there were hiccups but we managed them all and stayed pretty much on budget. Do not fear the renovations!! Just hired TBD!!

If I could give more stars I would.  Shawn and Lindsey are amazing.  They did a major renovation for us - kitchen, 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, dining room, great room.  We are so thrilled with everything.  I was feeling overwhelmed at the beginning with so many things to pick out - flooring, cabinetry, counter-tops, tile, fixtures - but Lindsey made it easy.  And Shawn was so professional running the project.  We were out of town during parts of the renovation and Shawn kept us informed with daily updates including pictures.  We are getting ready to start another renovation project with them so obviously we highly recommend them.

To say that we love our newly renovated kitchen/first floor is an understatement. The Turner Contracting Company brought our vision into a reality, even in the midst of a pandemic. Our goal was to create an open concept with our first floor and they surpassed our expectations. We have received so many compliments from friends and family members.
