Sometimes the most impactful transformations don’t require moving walls or adding square footage—they simply require a better use of the space you already have.

In this recent whole-home renovation, our clients took a fresh look at their formal dining room and realized it no longer fit the way they live and entertain. Like many homeowners today, they found themselves wanting something more functional, more personalized, and more aligned with everyday life. Instead of holding onto a traditional layout, they chose to reimagine the space—and that decision led to one of the most unique features in their home.
What was once a plain, underutilized wall is now a fully custom wine and beverage center that blends seamlessly into the room while adding both purpose and personality.
The transformation includes custom cabinetry designed for both storage and display, topped with durable quartz countertops that offer plenty of prep space. A dedicated wine fridge and beverage refrigerator make it easy to keep everything organized and within reach—whether hosting friends or simply unwinding at the end of the day. A sink was thoughtfully incorporated into the design, making this a true wet bar setup rather than just a storage feature.
One of the standout elements is the newly added window above the sink. Not only does it bring in natural light, but it also features a roll-out opening that allows for fresh air to flow through the space—an intentional detail that elevates the entire experience. The client-selected wall tile adds a finishing touch, introducing texture and personality that makes the space feel truly custom and reflective of their style.

Projects like this remodel in Davidson highlight the value of tailoring your home to your lifestyle. A formal dining room might look beautiful on paper, but if it’s rarely used, it’s a missed opportunity. By converting even a portion of that space into a beverage center or wet bar, homeowners can create something that adds daily function while also enhancing how they entertain. It’s these thoughtful, intentional upgrades that often make a home feel more complete—and more enjoyable to live in.
Another aspect that made this project especially unique was the collaborative approach. Our clients came to us with plans already in place from architect, Nicole Perri, along with design direction from Aleix Asano. They had a clear vision and a strong team—they simply needed the right builder to bring everything together.
Not every project starts from scratch, and that’s something we fully embrace. Whether a client comes to us at the very beginning for our design build remodeling approach, or already has an architect and designer in place, we’re more than willing to step in and collaborate. Our role is to execute the vision with precision, clear communication, and a high level of craftsmanship—ensuring every detail is carried out exactly as intended.
This Davidson project is a great example of what’s possible when thoughtful design meets the right team.
